Hello people! It's wonderful November now; just the right season! Woot woot! Near Christmas now! Get your presants ready (I'm sure they will all be lovely!) I hope everyone in the lower school (year 3 + 4) is loving the school, and getting on ok! :). Don't wanna go to chosen as I am in year 6 at the mo. Eep! Scary! But before that, we have our sats! Not looking forward to those either! If Mrs Kemmett/Mrs Pendlebury look here and see this, here is the message I would like them to hear: Hello, you are both wonderful teachers, both fun, but teach us good. And thank you to all the other great staff doing a fantastic job for our wonderful school!
Thanks! Bye, Rebecca Curtis,, year 6

hey innsworth!
we weree just looking back through all the comments and found one we left about a year ago! wow! =]
we are still the bestest friends everrr! lol (omg i feel like 5 years old writing that!) and even though we have been at different schools for about 4/5 years now we still stay in touch loads so when people leave innsworth it doesnt mean you lose friends, just means you have the chance to make new ones as well as keeping your old ones! so dont be sad if you have just left because you will have so much fun ahead of you!
we miss all the teachers who helped us through innsworth, including Mrs Jenkins and Miss Stocken (even though she left this year) and Miss Edge (but we think your name has now changed!!) and also thankyou to all the other teachers! we owe you all a lot for helping us and making our time at innsworth a really enjoyable time!
lolz now we're like 15/16 which is really wierd too say coz i remember running round thinking it was cool to run around like an idiot....were now looking at collages and sixth forms!! AHHHH omg..
Gcse's aren't as bad as you think and seeing as you no longer do sats (lucky kidss) its a whole lot easier than we had it so don't worry! :)
we have probably written too much allready now. but we would like to say thanks for the brill times we had at innsworth, something we will never forget!
also if any of our old friends are reading this and want to get in touch then you can email Fi on fionn155@hotmail.co.uk would love to catch up with people if they see this!
adios!
Fi and Tammy

Hiya,
Mr.Ward this is for you!!!
I know this is totally random, but the other day i was thinking about funny times
at innsworth, and i remembered that time in year 5, whem i was at the back of the class and Mr.Ward said he could do a headstand, so he did one at the front of the class.
Because i was at the back we couldnt see andthing but his feet which were flying around in the air, Then i burst out laughing and i laughed so much i cried!!
When i thought of that i burst out laughing again so that i started crying again!
Missing you all

I doubt any of the teachers i remember still work there, its been 5 or 6 years since.

For old times sake i decided to post this. It's an amazing school, has left me with thousands of fabulous memories and is one of the highlights of my life, so far.

Moved on to get 10 GCSEs and study Commerical Web Development as Gloscol.

Thanks for everything,
happy to see the buildings have progressed :).

Hi to everyone at Innsworth!

I attended from 1999-2001, was there from Year 5 to Year 6

I would just like to thank Mr Ward and Ms Kemmitt for all that they done when i was at the school, i was living around the corner and will say that it was one of the best experiences of my life!

Mrs Jenkins was Headteacher whilst i was there and is an amazing person, she always cares for her pupils in the most professional and friendly way

I remember going to the Isle of Wight in Year 6 and it was one of the best experiences of my life, it was funny because we only had one CD for the entire trip and towards the end of the week my ears were blistering.

Mr Ward is by far one of the best teachers i have ever had because he helped me in so many ways

I've heard of a 50th Anniversary coming up but unfortunately would not be able to come

i would just like to say once again thanks to everyone who made my primary school experience such a good one and wish you all the best in the future

Many Thanks!

Hi everyone, you may not remember me but its Kathryn Goddard here, i left RAF Innsworth in 2003 and was a good friend with Mrs Jenkins and had a photo with her on my last day( i've still got it). Just in case you do not remember me, i was the one who would have absences during class linked to my Epilepsy and that it is still with me now but is improving. i am now at RAF Leeming in Yorkshire and yr 9. Love to hear from any classmates or staff who remember me.
best wishes

I left there in 1975 having done a year in Mrs Swans class followed by a year in Mrs Peacheys class, my best mate was Gary Loveridge. The place doesn't look like it has changed much over 34 years.

Hello
I thought i might just pop in and see how the site is coming along. It looks great!! I also spotted a picture of my sister Jasmine Bryan she was sooo cute. HEHE. And there was one of you Fran Hutin so don't you dare laugh.hehe.Well i'm in year 6 cannot wait till the resiedential!! Even though it is ages away. I went last year, i was the only year 5.IT WAS GREAT.
So i would most certainaly like to thank all the teachers, even if you have not taught me!!!!!
Oh and thank you to all my friends who are : Libby Louisa Nina Tasha Fran Ellie Chloe Heather Issy Sophie Peoples Well all of you!!
Recently in my CATs papers i have scored 5c and 5b in English but unfortunately i am not really a fan of English!
But look on the positive side i love maths but then there is a down side... i only got a 4b then 4a but atleast im moving up! Maybe in SATs i will get a level 5!!
Wish me luck and all the others too!
I also have a real downside of year 6 but i'll try not let it spoil my year, it is that my best friend Francesca Hutin is moving to America some where called Georgia i think that is how you spell it!
But atleast i have managed to be some how lucky enough to have amazing brilliant friends who just give friendship and give it and give it!!!!!!!!
I'm into football so call me werid.HEHE. No jokes. I do not know if you watched them but i have been involved in musicals pantos and such at the olympous thertre. INNSWORTH JUNIORS ROCKS MY SOCKS. To all you supply teachers well done because if i have been taught by you i would recomend you as a proper teacer.Enit.Well I have to go now issy is chatting to me on MSN so byebye. I will keep in touch. Promise..x ..xXx..

I attended Innsworth County Junior School from 1977 to 1978 with my brother and sister. I really enjoyed my time at the scool even though I was a bit noughty. My teacher was Mr Davies. I played for the football team and we were quite good. Can't remember the name of the football coach but he was a geordie with a beard and a top bloke. When Virginia Wade won Wimbledon 1n 1977 the whole school sat in the hall and watced it on the telly. Hurrah. Glad to see the school is still going strong and hope the closure of RAF Innsworth doesn't affect you too badly.

Dear Old School
I was taking a trip down Memory Lane and found your website.
I attended Innsworth County Primary in the early '60's. Still recognizable as same old place! My favourite teacher was Mrs Bridges. The HeadMaster was Mr. Johnson. My best friend was Audrey S. My family emigrated to Canada in "65 and I now live in the States. Thanks for the memories.

Dear Mrs Jenkins,

I thought I would drop you a note to let you/Mr Ward/Mrs Kemmet/Mr Jones know that recently I have received my GCSE results. If you can remember, I transferred to Ribston Hall High School (which I have enjoyed very much).

I am quite pleased that I have achieved 3A*s, 8As & 1B - so I have not let you down! I am returning to Ribston in September to join the sixth form. I have chosen to take English Literature, History, Politics and German. Subject to obtaining these A-Levels, I wish to pursue a career in Law.

At the moment I work weekends to earn some money for driving lessons (I am seventeen in September).

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you and the staff at Innsworth Junior School for providing me with such a firm grounding - a huge thank you to Mr Ward for all his help in Year 5, inspiring me to constantly improve my English work. I acheived a* in English and English Literature.

My sister, Felicity, is also at Ribston and is doing very well in all of her subjects.

Innsworth is a wonderful school, keep up the good work!

Many thanks, with fondest memories

I attended the school back in the early 80's and have fondest memories of it. My favourite teacher was Mrs Peachy. I remember buying her a purple african violet as a goodbye gift and she bought me a Tony Hart art kit with pencils that you could paint with (very sophisticated back then!). We left Innsworth for St Athans in Wales and never quite got over it - hence the fact that I'm still interested in the school now. I'm really impressed with the website. I have a 6 year old child and would happily send her to a school like yours!

This school is amazing!!!!!!!! I am now in year six andhave experienced alot of things whilst I have been here. The staff are brilliant. Also Mrs Jenkins is the best possible head I have ever seen{even better than some of these heads at the secondary schools!!!}. i am loving this school and everything it has to offer. School used to be a chore, now it isn't{but science is still pretty boring ut you can't help that!!!}.

Hi!!! Hopefully this is the right school. If so I can remember coming to this school when I was in Yr2 (i think) up until Yr4 - this was in 1995-1997 (i think). Unfortunately I can't remember that's why I'm doing a lot of thinking :) My dad was in the RAF at this time & still is. Since Innsworth I've moved to Wittering, Germany, Wallingford & now i'm back in Gloucester & in Ribston Hall High's 6th Form. It's been great to look through this website - carry on being a great school. xxx Stacey xxx

I went to this school eleven years ago and by the sounds of it it's still the wonderful school that it was back then. I just wanted to thank the school for always encouraging the children in drama and in the arts because if it hadn't have been for this support at such a young age I wouldn't be at a terrific drama school now. Love to all the teachers if they remember me- especially Mr. Jones- and that goes from my elder sister Rachel aswell. x

Innsworth is the best school I have been to. All the staff work very hard and it's lucky I'm in year 3 because I'll be quite unhappy when I leave. By Peter Anwyll.

I think the school is brilliant. All the teachers are kind and thoughtful. The website is a great idea and I enjoyed looking at the work. I'd love to stay at the school forever but we all have to move on. Thank you Innsworth for being wonderful and I will come back to see you all in the future.

Hello from Texas:
I attended Innsworth School in the late 1960's when my father, a United States Air Force officer, was exchanged with a Royal Air Force officer. We lived at RAF Innsworth. I have great memories of Innsworth school. Keep up the good work.

A very nice site. My daughter Katelyn will be joining the school in about 5 weeks following our return from Norway. It is very useful to be able to scan through such items as the Newsletters and get a 'feel' for what she is coming to.

If anyone is interested her current school, here in Stavanger, has a web site of its own. I the address is http://www.stavanger-british-school.no
